since it's street view, the photos aren't 12 months to 3 years old. the photos were taken mid to late 2008 because street view only came in to effect late '08.
but the birds' eye view ones are older. thankyou.

As for privacy,, google has learned their lesson from the US, and have cropped people out of photo's, blurred them where they couldn't crop them out.
