Video: Sue the T Rex at Auckland Museum

Hi,

I live in the Chicago area, where the real bones of Sue reside. I think it's great that the cast skeleton of Sue is traveling around the world so people all over can see her and learn about her.

I would like to point out a very important correction to the video above. Towards the end, when Ali asks the camera to zoom in, he asks what the V-shaped bones are between the dinosaur's legs. Amy from the Field Museum didn't see where the camera was pointing.

In fact, the V-shaped bones that the camera was looking at were the pubis (the lower and forward pointing part of the pelvis). Amy was actually talking about the furcula or wishbone, (or clavicles) two small, narrow bones located between the shoulder blades and the sternum (the front of the chest).
