LOL John Key a strong PM? John Key great at adapting? thats like saying that we could all vote green and still get exactly the same results as politics is all about adapting at the time.Screw have scrupples or conviction, lets not make them stand behind the things that they promise pre-election, in the words of alien, lets all just watch as they do what they like even if the majority arent in support of it.Politics used to be about conviction and having clear goals, now its about adaptability?.John Key maybe an adaptable PM but he isnt a man of great conviction who keeps his word (otherwise we would have all of our tax cuts) that is, other than in his support of business. The question remains, what further tax hikes will we see, and how will they continue justifying it?.We have the ETS to pay for, Road Tax's in Auckland, Extra Income based Acc Levies and ACC registration levies, so what next Mr Key? A capital gains tax? GST increases? (perhaps that one is a myth so that next year they can go.. oh wow arent you lucky we dont have to increase GST now, to make themselves look like the hero's).Politics isnt about adaptability, its about who the best liar at the time is, and right now thats JK hands down.
John Key, a strong PM? Psssh, I was a national supporter 'til he came on the scene. He is a spineless waste of space, I can't look to anyone who doesn't have conviction to lead this country and he certainly doesn't. I'd actually admire the guy more if he stood by his convictions. And listened to the NZ public, as opposed to other world leaders. Because let's NOT kid ourselves, he's not going to Copenhagen because NZ wants him to, he's going because Obama's going, more or less.
LOL when I heard Obama was going I knew John Key would eventually change his mind and decide copenhagen was now a worthwhile trip... JK loves a good photo opportunity.Madness, John Key has only ever done things that support business.. I wouldnt be suprised to see a capital gains tax brought in so that Key can lower the business tax rate, so small businesses will get something from key but those starving below the poverty line will get no reprieve, they will have to suffer yet again if English and Key decide to rip off New Zealanders with a hike in GST.
