Wanaka's two main service stations are at risk of running out of fuel for the third time in four days.

The foul weather that's been gripping the country has forced fuel delivery trucks to bypass some scheduled long-haul runs.

While his stations already ran out of 95-octane petrol on Sunday and 91 on Monday, Caltex Wanaka's Matt Davison is trying to remain positive.

Matt Davison is anticipating Wanaka may run out as early as mid-morning, before another truckload can be brought in this evening.
