Two people wanted in connection with an alleged kidnapping and beating on the outskirts of Queenstown have handed themselves in to police.
The two men, both aged in their 20s, handed themselves in after separately making contact with police through their lawyers, Detective Sergeant Brian Cameron told the Southland Times.
Both face charges of aggravated wounding and kidnapping and will appear in Queenstown District Court on December 12.
On November 27, a 28-year-old man and his 23-year-old girlfriend were lured to the intersection of the Crown Range Road and State Highway 6. The man was beaten by men who appeared to be skinheads, although most wore balaclavas. A meat cleaver and a machete were believed to be used during the attack.
A woman, Rachel Faul, 20, has been charged with aggravated wounding, kidnapping and dangerous driving.
