Heaters are off-loaded from a truck into some happy hands

There have been some generous gifts made to quake victims in Christchurch. Entire schools have been outfitted in thermals, others in puffer jackets, and this week another giveaway - free heaters, retailing for $90 each.

Over three mornings 1,000 heaters were handed out for free from the back of a Harvey Norman truck.

Reporter Jendy Harper joined the masses.
