The record for the most water-skiers behind a single boat has been broken in Australia.

154 skiers from all over the world lined up in a straight nautical mile behind one boat in Tasmania’s Macquarie Harbour.

Nine skiers fell during the record attempt, but the 145 that managed to stay upright were enough to beat the previous record.

Eight kilometres of rope was used for the new record, which will be officially confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records in the next few months.
