Sunday: North Island, a few showers for Bay of Plenty and Auckland northwards, mainly fine further south. Cloudy periods in the east with a few showers, mainly north of Wairoa. South Island, becoming fine in the west and south, cloudy periods elsewhere, with isolated showers inland.
Monday: North Island, cloudy periods, with a few showers in Bay of Plenty and about the ranges. South Island, drizzle in the west turning to rain in Westland and Fiordland, high cloud increasing elsewhere.
