Weepu's roller coaster ride into Kiwi's hearts

In 2007, when the All Blacks lost to France in Cardiff, Piri Weepu was at home, watching it on television.
Four years on, having taking stock of what Graham Henry wanted of him, he has been one of the stars of the tournament.
Thrust into a position of leadership and goal kicking by the injury to Dan Carter, he has won enormous public affection, by not only being a great character, but displaying great character.
Overcoming being dropped, then a serious injury, to remarkably reinvent himself as the all blacks go to man.
It has been, as he told John Campbell, one hell of a roller coaster ride.
