If Rugby is the gladiatorial combat of today, Piri Weepu is our Spartacus! You'd want him on your side. Go on, go well.
Kia Ora Piri Weepu, Congrats for your efforts ability & positive attitudes presently. Your style of kicking is the best, punts, territories kicking is awesome, which puts you on Attack immediately instead of defending & wasting energy to get to the oppositions goals. Finally, before kicking please, please check your placement again. I watch from my lazy boy at home before you went in to kick..I said you'll miss, because I noticed your placement a fraction out. You have a wonderful kick and follow through. When I looked at the right hand Gpost and at your placement,I said to my wife you are going to miss the goal. I'm an ex Wainuiomata rugby player, I lived 98 Coast Road. Kia Kaha e Hoa, God bless to the AB's. Kindest Regards, Tata
Piri Weepu has always been my favourite, I missed him when he wasn't playing. I am an elderly Englishwoman, don't know too much about rugby, but I can't help noticing that Piri is always where he is needed - long may he play for the All Blacks.
Piri Weepu is awesome - and a humble man with it - sportspeople around the world would do well to take lessons from him!!
“He's just a big boy, he's not scared of running it up the guts too."
"We don't want to be that team after the World Cup which doesn't start too well ... we can't go into a game resting on last year's laurels."
It took a phone call from big brother Rico to convince Hosea Gear to turn his back on a lucrative deal to play in Japan. Now the Highlanders wing has been called into the All Blacks training squad along with Chiefs hooker Hika Elliot.
Chiefs hooker Hikawera Elliot and Highlanders winger Hosea Gear will join the All Blacks' wider training group camp in Wellington.
