“Now that jobs over we don’t have to do anything for 5 and a half months” Said our cheeky Best Man on the weekend.
Annoyingly he’s right! (Apart from organising the world’s best Stag do… what a chore). But the reality is the men’s 15 minutes of pre-wedding stardom is over. Done and dusted.
And boy did they look dapper! There we were at Frank Casey on the weekend, perhaps slightly intimidating but certainly impressing, the very helpful manager- as we knew exactly what we wanted and exactly how we wanted it.
Not bad for two muppets who would at times struggle with deciding how to get out of a paper bag.
So FYI- B2B, SMOB and MOG looked on as FH, BM, FOB and FOG got their A into G. GOB, BM#2 and GM were all MIA.
So did you catch all that? Do you speak wedding?
This wedding planning malarkey isn’t all just about flowers you know. I’m becoming the acronym master.
So in English, The Bride to Be (me), Stepmother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom looked on as Future Husband, Best Man, Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom got their gear on and Grandad of the Bride, Best Man number 2 and Groomsman are all currently geographically challenged.
But wait there’s more! How’s this for coincidence… They are wearing the ‘Venice Suit!’
I think we’re developing a bit of a pattern here…
And gosh didn’t they all look soooooo grand! Men in suits are right up there with men in uniform in my book. Done something wrong? Don’t turn up with flowers, turn up in a suit. It will distract em every time!
They conceal a multitude of sins and can turn any man into a well behaved, respectable gentleman… not that our men aren’t that already ;)
