Enthusiasm for the Rugby World Cup is reaching new heights with a mass haka attracting huge crowds outside Te Papa in Wellington today.

The haka was planned to be another flash mob-type performance but word got out beforehand and hundreds of onlookers gathered ready to watch.

The world-famous challenge happened just after midday, stunning international media and visitors.

It was the third and biggest haka we have seen this week, with the innovative display of rugby fever also being displayed in Queen St and Sylvia Park in Auckland.
