Wellington experienced some wild winds today, with gusts up to 146 kilometres an hour, making it impossible for some Wellingtonians to stay on their feet.

Outside Greytown School in the Wairarapa , a tree fell on two people walking on the roadside.

Both were injured and taken to Masterton Hospital - one is in a serious condition and the other in a moderate condition.

Ferry sailings continued as usual and some flights were delayed and passengers experienced some bumpy approaches to the runway.

Police issued a warning to motorists, asking them to take extra care.

Election billboards have been the hardest hit, with many being blown down across the city.

The airport also announced their winning design to replace the ALL BLACK sign on the Miramar cutting today which was, ironically, Wellington with the last few letters blowing away.

The woman tripped on the kerb and she was wearing high heels on this extra windy day and she was rushing all equals an accident waiting to happen. Camera man would of been to far away to help and he would of had to cross the road, then a vehicle goes pass the lens. funny because it wasn't me or any one I know, but horrible for the women. don't try to trace her, leave it as it is. Also its proven humans usually laugh at things like this, its a reaction just like fight or flight.

I live overseas and had tears in my eyes watching this video (not because of the fallen women), as I see the struggle Wellingtonions have daily with their weather, miss the place but not the weather.

i dont think its even funny.. your camera man was only about the story.. and lady needed help and there was no help given.. only by a lady walking pass.. i think if it was your relative, you would want someone to help instead of filming them.. think about it

I have to agree with Ryan - this is a pretty poor attempt at humour. I'm sure the lady was embarrassed enough at the time without this....

TV3, what kind of people do you employ ? The camera operator did their job yes, but could they not have done something to help ?, luckily the other lady didn't decide to stand and watch also. Furthermore, to all those who find this funny i would like to point out that the probability of you laughing and humiliating this woman by sending this video viral, would be extremely slim if she was your mother. food for thought wouldn't you say ?.
