While East London has been getting all the attention after the Opening Ceremony, I've been told West is best by my (probably biased) hosts!
Here they are having brunch at the Notting Hill dining institution Julie's Bar. It became a hot spot for artists and musicians and the rest of the "in crowd" in the 1960s and continues to be a popular eatery.

The Eggs Florentine was delicious - they hid the spinach under the eggs and cheese.
There are certainly plenty of pooches and pounds (money that is, not doggy prisons) in this area. Small dogs reign; no one is even fazed when dogs are in up market designer clothing store. I'm talking about the ones where the clothes cost as much as a small car in New Zealand.

And if you're into keeping a theme running through your house, might I suggest a visit to this store:

Although I'm told it has nothing on the dog boutique and champagne bar which I'll try and find this week.
Despite all this wealth in this neighbourhood, someone clearly isn't too posh to display their penchant for inflatable plastic!

While out and about checking the Notting Hill shopping scene, we came across this - fingers crossed there isn't a baby under the shopping!

I'm getting more confident with the tube - but spare a thought for Krissy Moreau who has to lug this kind of kit around London.

We went out to Greenwich and spoke to some of the Equestrian team. They were lovely enough to give us interviews (here is Jonelle Richards) even though they are mid-competition.

And spot the famous face inside the Greenwich Tavern!

Here is a picture from the opening ceremony at Kiwi House. It's me and Rhys Darby!
