What happened to the Dotcom Mansion video footage?
Thu, 05 Apr 2012 7:03p.m.
On the day the Dotcom Mansion was raided by police officers armed with semi-automatic weapons, much of what happened was filmed.
Not by the police, not by media but by the security cameras at the home.
The footage from those cameras could answer many of the questions about that controversial raid.
Was the FBI there?
What guns were carried and were they pointed at anyone?
Was it over the top for a man charged with internet crimes?
Or did the police behave entirely appropriately?
If the footage can answer those questions, why hasn’t it been able to?
Even if it is not released publicly, where is it and why hasn't it been given to the dotcom legal team?
Watch the video for John Campbell’s investigation

He was just a rich fat dude in a mansion and somehoe NZ police listned to the FBI stooges and used the speacia tactics squad commonly reserved for violent offenders. Kim was was a rich fat dude with a hot wife. Totally unwarrented and over the top.

76 Police Officers were needed to raid this mans mansion? Sounds about right. When I was the victim of a crime, the police believed I was some "big time drug dealer". Armed with NO EVIDENCE, except the story of a knife wielding, meth user (the man who attacked me), 15 (FIFTEEN) NZ police officers proceeded to raid my small family home.
They found a small amount of cannabis, but enough to be considered "possession for supply". I was threatened with jail, and the man who attacked me was let free, because he "informed on a drug dealer". He is a primary school teacher. I now suffer sever anxiety, and have zero trust for this government, the police force, or people in general.

I'm a spanish national and I've been looking for work in NZ for 7 years. I have extensive IT experience but I'm either too qualified or need more kiwi experience. The job offers are lacking and voluntary work actually costs me more money. I even got a diploma as it was encouraged (for NZ experience) but it hasn't helped. Australia looks better every time as there are so many job offers but we prefer the kiwi lifestyle.

Come on all of you? They are only little boys acting like big men,is it the person or is it the uniform that has all the skills to be well trained police men and women. The boy scouts may be able to do a better job.Just all show and no go when it comes to real policing to years ago when police men had balls and not marbles.

It was probably confiscated by the Americans, I have no doubt they were present in some form during the raid.

It seems clear that the police are reluctant to release the Dotcom security footage. They may be on the cusp of losing it. This reluctance contrasts with the secret footage of the war games being conducted in the bush by the Urewera four (and others). That footage was all over the our TV's and the internet well before the trial took place because the police wanted to influence public opinion.

Dotcom paid for devices to hold pictures ex the security cameras.
Dotcom asked for the pictures to be taken.
Dotcom initiated the taking of those pictures, he now owns copyright on those pictures.
I suggest he bring copyright charges against the police for theft of copyright material, therefore all police computers should be seized and not allowed to be touched, because they MAY form part of the case.
enough is enough!!!

How bloody convenient for the NZ Police to lose these tapes as it only took 76 Police Officers to arrest Mr Dotcom.Only 76???????With those nunbers which included the Elite Special Tactics group, Helicopters and the Armed Offenders squad this person must have been responsible for the most horrendous crime against humanity for special strategic and tactical planning by Police HQ. HELLO HELLO the alleged crime was "copyright infringement" ????????? White collar crime. The allegations have made by the FBI. Isnt this the same organisation along with the CIA who convinced the world that Iraq had WMD "Weapons of Mass Destruction" so the USA and their allies went to war, thousands of soldiers and innocent people were killed and then they couldnt find any WMD so in reality the war was over "Weapons of Mass Deception". Good ole FBI and CIA.It is bad enough that the NZ Police have proven to be the willing Lap dogs of the USA Government corrupt government agencies.
