Based on the beloved Maurice Sendak children’s book, Spike Jonze was the perfect man to direct the film.

Not much happens in this story, but the whimsical, gentle almost melancholic way Jonze paints this picture makes for a lovely watch.

There won’t be enough action for some CGI-addicted kids, but younger viewers (who don't find wild things too scary), and much older ones should find much to entertain them.

Young Max (Max Records) is a real find, delivering a faultless, natural and delightful performance in the lead role.

Great soundtrack too.

Four Stars.

I'd Love to Agree with you there mongo, but I couldn't get past the first 10 mins it was that lame so I'll just have to assume its one of the worst movies of our time! :)
