I am totally overwhelmed by the disgusting behaviour of the public. Don't get me wrong, I understand it must be incredibly frustrating not being able to redeem your gift vouchers and I would be very upset if I was in that situation as well. But what you also need to understand is that whilst you may not be able to redeeem your gift voucher in full, they may not have jobs. Some of them are supporting a family, some of them also have partners working at Whitcoulls. I don't care how upset you are, it is never okay to threaten someone or tell them that you hope they lose their job. Whitcoulls staff are not responsible for the decision of the Administrators and therefore should not be the subject of your abusive behaviour. The Administration is not legally obligated to honour the gift vouchers, and if you take stock from a store without following the new gift card policy then, congratulations, you're a thief. How about you all get over the fact that you might be losing $50 and realise that the people you are mistreating could all be losing their jobs? Can't we all just behave like decent human beings? It makes me sick.

Technically, the new administration is under no legal obligation to take your gift card. Yes, Legally. If you want the credit, go and spend it under the new terms and conditions, which are generous. Remember when sounds closed down? No such charity. If you want to wait and see if it turns out, good luck to you. If you want to make a claim to the administration for the face value of the card, good luck to you. Just remember that the staff on the shop floor have no control over what is happening so if you have any rational sense, don't take it out on them.

Boo hoo, you missed out on $20. As a redgroup employee whose partner is unemployed and sick, I'm looking at having to live on the street. What happened to compassion? And don't worry - people who shoplift will easily be identified on camera. Criminal record worth having a public tantrum? It's your choice.
