The World March for Peace and Nonviolence is getting underway today from Wellington, on the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday.

The United Nations has declared today an "international day of non-violence".

Various branches of the march will travel through 90 countries over the next 90 days.

The march will end on the January 2, 2010 in the Andes Mountains.

A New Zealand woman Juanita McKenzie will participate in the 'entire' march.

Whata waste of time.
Nobody listerns to these people.
I suppose it makes them feel better but what will it achieve.
I suppose Obama will suddenly pull all the troops out of Iraq, the bath party will become civilized and North Korea will start feeding its people because these poeple with nothing else to do walked a bit?
