We've all heard a lot about the cost of real estate in Auckland.

But how about paying $40,000 for an apartment that's about the size of the average bathroom?

It is too small for a double bed and you can walk across it in two steps.

Real estate agent Martin Dunn gave Tristram Clayton a guided tour of the downtown Auckland apartment they've nicknamed "Tiny Tim".

How much will it cost to live there? Well the interest on borrowing $40k works out around $50 per week, but nobody can afford such huge prices in Auckland!

For a single person living alone, not a bad option for $50 per week.
