In Egypt conspiracy theories are spreading like wildfire about who or what was behind yesterday's football violence.

The ruling military council has declared three days of mourning after at least 74 people died in the riot between rival football fans.

Today thousands of people have taken to the streets accusing police of doing little to stop the violence.

Europe correspondent Melissa Davies joined Firstline to discuss the riot and the freezing temperatures sweeping through Europe this week.
