A 22-year-old supermarket worker in England now has enough money to buy the whole chain if she wants to.

Cassey Carrington opened an online lottery account because she felt lucky. Days later she won £45 million pounds – a whopping $NZ85 million.

Today she and her fiancé described how it would change their lives.

But this couple is not planning a lavish lifestyle.

Their priority is to replace the washing machine and laptop which broke down within minutes of each other on the same day they won big in the euro millions lottery.

“I checked the numbers against the ones that were up and it didn't really click that they were the same,” she says. “I kept having to re-check and it wasn't sinking in that they were the same.

“From having the washing machine breaking and the computer breaking it was like, ‘have we got these numbers right?’”

Fiancé Matt Topham says they were looking online to see how much it would cost to purchase another computer.

“We were scrolling down the page and out of the middle of nowhere there was one for 4,500 grand, and I said to Cassey, ‘who the hell in the world would pay that much for a computer?’ It’s just daft but now it's a whole different world, it really is.”

They have not forgotten their past; it is their parents they want to treat.

“First thought is we've got to take care of our parents,” says Ms Carrington. “Matt wanted to pay off his dad’s mortgage for him and I was thinking getting my parents a house because they've always rented.

“So we were thinking what we could do for them and we've got friends who are struggling to get on the market so we were thinking we could buy them a house.”

The couple are reviewing the budget for their upcoming wedding.

The problem now for guests is pondering what to buy for a couple who can afford almost everything.
