People get over yourselves. It's an inanimate object. I grew up with this characiture attached to the buildings it has been and I neither became a pedophile nor did it frighten me. If your that worried about an image like this then you have much more going on in your life than you let on. If your hurting because of this image then you need to surrender to the only one who can truly heal the whole person.Then and only then you will know the truth and be truthfully free and experience real joy, real love and real peace.

I first saw santa in 1986 when I arrived in NZ. I was disgusted. He looks like a child molester with that wretched wiggling finger. When he was moved and spruced up, it got better....but that finger...ooooooooo, yuck! Glad you brought it up, as I have commented on him for years, and people thought I was crazy....Well now I live in Texas, so I never have to look at him. Figure it out, you guys! Good luck!!

i hate that santa, and stopping the finger, and changing the face will do nothing to change that - i avoid that part of Queen St when hes up - theres always a back way to the shops :)^.^
Face is good. But removing the winking eye and beckoning finger is a bad step - they were cute. Suppose they did this to stop Santa looking evil (peadophile?)! Of course Santa IS an anagram of Satan.
