The man is a complete and utter buffoon. What i find very interesting, is that when asked about his actions, TVNZ states "no comment - the matter is under review". Fair enough, this supposed to be the process, but why then can he continue to comment on the matter himself during subsequent shows lambasting "narrow minded people" that are hounding him. Its fairly obvious to see how his comments have sparked a fresh round of public and private ridicule and abuse of those with mental disabilities. Its hard enough for people with disabilities simply just live our lives without some twit ridiculing them. The day following his comments i was at the shops and had to endure to a group of teenagers mocking my young child in some put on "accent". He needs to have thick skin and this is common treatment for him, but it doesn't make it any less hurt full. Of further interest is that, as yet, none of the sponsors/advertisers on the breakfast show seam to have "done the right thing" and come out publicly distancing themselves from his comments. Presumably it doesn't make financial scene to put your money where your mouth is? Boycott the breakfast show, boycott the advertisers products and if you ever see Paul give him a piece of your mind.

The truth is not allowed to be spoken anymore, and if it is, the PC nutters will put the worst possible interpretation on the truth. There is nothing wrong with being retarded, even to the point of downes syndrome. Often, they make far nicer people than the likes of lawyers arguing for PC correctness. A not unpleasant voice, but placed way above much better voices in musical and opera. Let us hope that the promoters are aware what they are doing and looking after Susans interests well, because if not, they will have a lot to answer for in time to come.

This is a disgusting comment to make and an immediate apology should be made. This is not the first time he has passed on bad comments and when you are in the professional field that he is in, is totally unacceptable. Susan Boyle has broken all records and is to be congratulated for her talents. Paul is the retard, Susan is the talent. Paul needs to be sacked from his position of responsibilty immediately and this is disgusting to come from any person. This is as bad as the shocking comments from Paul Holmes re the little darkie comment and I am ashamed to be associated with either of them as a proud New Zealander. Fire him.
