A design by Zac Posen (Reuters)
Wed, 02 Dec 2009 9:51a.m.
US designer Zac Posen - whose dramatic gowns have been worn by many of his celebrity friends, including Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rachel Bilson - is believed to be working on a new limited edition line to be released in the Spring.
According to fashion website WWD.com, Zac is creating a series of limited edition styles for the bargain store which will be available to purchase between April 25 and May 30.
Prices have not been released but previous collection for Target's Go International series have ranged from US$14.99 to US$149.99.
Zac's designs usually retail for US$900 to US$12,000, with prices soaring up to US$20,000 for bespoke items.
In 2008, Zac created a capsule collection for the Australian branch of Target, which was sold in 75 stores.
The 29-year-old fashionista is not the first renowned designer to work with the store.
Sibling designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy's new Rodarte range will be available in stores and online next month.
Target has also worked with younger designer like Jonathan Saunders, Richard Chai and Erin Featherston.
Christian Dior designer Alexander McQueen has also sketched a series of designs for them.
