I've been doing Zumba since the end of April & I've lost 14.5 kg's without going on a 'diet' just having smaller sized meals. My friend that I go along with has been doing Zumba & Weight watchers together & she's lost over 20kg's. Still a long way to go for both of us but at least it's something we enjoy. Chris is right, not all Zumba classes are created equally & each instructor brings their own 'flava' to the classes. But once you find the right one you won't look back!!! Of course you have to throw yourself into it fully too if you want to see results. But hang in there, give it all you've got & let the music move you...and you won't be disappointed!!!
Hi Suzy, don't look too closely at your scale... I have been doing Zumba for 8 months and I haven't lost that much weight but my body shape has changed dramaticaly! No hanging flabby stuff anymore, all toned and people keep telling me how much better and slimmer I look.
I've been doing zumba classes for the last 6 weeks up to 3 times a week. Havn't lost any weight yet, was a struggle to begin with but a lot of fun.
Bring a similar class to Wellington!!!! They have it at my gym but its full of gym bunnies and not average people which doesn't look anywhere near as fun as the Otahuhu classes!! :) Good on everyone for getting involved.

Zumba is a great choice for everyone...Its like u SWEAT, U DANCE...I really enjoy zumba @ otahuhu recreation centre. They do ZUMBA every Mondays and Fridays nite at 7-8pm...Me and my kids always go there and enjoy it...even at home we always do zumba after school especially myself when im bored...Before I join ZUMBA i weighed 86kg but now I weigh 65kg....I feel great now thanks to ZUMBA ha ha...
