Telecom tackles security debacle
Telecom has announced an added level of security for its Yahoo!Xtra email accounts in a bid to fix its security debacle.
The company says it's introducing an additional encryption setting called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which will be the default setting for all Yahoo!Xtra email accounts.
SSL secures customer information and email messages making communications more private as they move from the owner's server to the destination.
Yahoo!Xtra has been hacked four times in the past year.
