Heidi Klum: 'Project Runway will return'

Wednesday 3 Dec 2008 3:36 p.m.

Supermodel Heidi Klum said she's confident her award-winning series Project Runway will return with all-new episodes in January.

And, she added, those episodes will be shown on the show's new stateside outlet, Lifetime.

This, even though Runway is at the centre of a legal battle involving Lifetime and the show's producers, the Bravo network - where Runway had aired since its debut in 2005 - as well as Bravo's parent company NBC Universal. With a lawsuit and a counter suit, the fate of the series is currently tied up in the courts.

But Klum said she expects all will be resolved in time for the planned debut in early 2009, and that all is set for the series' season finale, to be filmed at New York Fashion Week in February.

In the meantime, fans can get their fix of Klum at The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, airing in America Wednesday on CBS. Klum said she feels this year's lingerie spectacular is the most glamorous of the telecasts, which have aired regularly in prime time since 2001.
