Lindsay Lohan was interviewed by police on Monday to help with an investigation into an alleged theft at a house party over the weekend.

The actress was among a group of people helping cops with their inquiries after some expensive jewellery allegedly went missing from a home in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills on Sunday, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports the owner of the property made a complaint to police on the morning after the house party and officers interviewed everyone who stayed the night there, including the Mean Girls actress.

The star is said to have been very co-operative and insisted she had nothing to do with the missing gems.
