No regret for Maori comments, says Crimp

Monday 21 May 2012 4:26 p.m.

Over the weekend, the New Zealand Herald printed an interview with Invercargill businessman Louis Crimp.

So inflammatory were Mr Crimp's comments, that the Human Rights Commission has already received 10 complaints about them.

It is not the first time his comments have displeasing.

The Listener has reported Mr Crimp had cancelled his subscription to the Southland Times because they put a Maori word in their crossword.

Usually we ignore people expressing such views, but Mr Crimp is interesting because he has been a major donor to the Act Party, and the Act Party support the Government.

But when 3 News reporter Jane Luscombe interviewed Mr Crimp, what he said was so rambling that it could not be condensed into a news story.

Watch the video for the full interview.
