Scott Gilmour's decade-long social experiment
Ten years ago, Scott Gilmour returned to New Zealand after making his fortune in the IT industry.
A Kiwi doing well overseas - we love that. But, we love what he did after that even more.
Rather than hoard his wealth, Scott decided he'd use it on a decade-long social experiment, to help a group of young children further their education.
At the time, the stats said that only three of the 53 students he had planned to help would get through university.
Scott wanted to prove those statistics wrong.
This is a story about someone who gave a damn, and the kids whose lives have changed because of it.
